My internship at Harmony Institute has been an incredibly enriching journey. Immersed in a multi-religious and multi-ethnic environment, I’ve had the opportunity to witness firsthand the power of dialogue and community building. The institute’s commitment to fostering social cohesion through community outreach programs, publications, scriptural reasoning sessions, and inter-religious dialogue initiatives has been both inspiring and educational.
Working alongside the dedicated team at Harmony Institute, led by Mustafa GENC, has been transformative. The inclusive and supportive working environment, enriched by both staff and non-staff members, has fostered a spirit of collaboration and mutual respect, making it an ideal place for personal and professional growth.
A highlight of my time at Harmony Institute was the summer school program on Inter-religious Dialogue and Islamic Studies at Tangaza University from May 27 to June 14. This program brought together individuals from diverse religious backgrounds to engage in meaningful dialogue and learning. Interactive sessions and cultural exchange activities, including group discussions, fostered mutual respect and understanding, equipping us with the skills to contribute to peace-building and community cohesion.
